Leagues did not schedule games for Friday of this week, the final week of the regular season, in case an additional game would be needed to break ties for playoff berths.

Orange County boys basketball has six such games Friday (Feb. 10):

Freeway League: La Habra vs. Sunny Hills at Troy, 4:30 p.m.

North Hills League: Brea Olinda at El Dorado, 6 p.m.

Olympic League: Valley Christian at Whittier Christian, 5 p.m.

Pacific Coast League: A three-way tie for third created a doubleheader at Woodbridge. Beckman plays University at 3 p.m. The winner plays Woodbridge after that.

Sunset League: Huntington Beach vs. Newport Harbor at Edison, 6 p.m.

Losers of those games still can qualify for the playoffs. A team can petition for at-large berth consideration if they have an overall record of .500 or better (and these extra games would count in that final overall record). An at-large candidate with a .500-or-better record still might not get into the playoffs if there is no room in it’s divisional bracket for the team.

Friday is the final day of the CIF-SS basketball regular season.
