Two highly-regarded boys water polo players have enrolled at Orange Lutheran, Lancers coach Steve Carrera confirmed Tuesday.
Junior-to-be center Josh Orrick from Carmichael‘s Jesuit High and sophomore-to-be attacker Hannes Daube from Newport Harbor have enrolled at the Trinity League school, Carrera said.
Both players are well-known in the U.S. national development pipeline system. Daube was a second-team All-Sunset League selection last fall for the Sailors. Orrick played last summer for the U.S. national cadet team in Serbia. Jesuit captured last season’s Division 1 title in the Sac-Joaquin Section.
In girls water polo, Carrera said Santiago of Corona’s Alyse Tyler and Madison Vincent have enrolled at Orange Lutheran. Both will be sophomores this coming season. Vincent is a left-hander.
Tyler’s sister, Kelsey, has been a standout the past two seasons for Orange Lutheran and transferred from Santiago of Corona.
