Goalie Ryan Melosini made three of his 12 saves in the fourth period and Austin Clark scored the winning goal with 1:21 left to lift Santa Margarita’s boys water polo team past Righetti, 10-9, in the finals of the Villa Park Classic on Saturday.
The Eagles defended their title in the 32-team tournament, annually one of the top events of the season. Senior Sam Slobodien of Santa Margarita, pictured left, was selected tournament MVP.
