Mission Viejo quarterback Brock Johnson, who helped lead the Diablos to the CIF-SS West Valley Division title in December, broke his collarbone over the weekend while riding the snow slopes, Mission Viejo coach Bob Johnson said Tuesday.
The junior, one of the county’s top class of 2016 prospects, will undergo surgery Wednesday and will be out six to seven weeks, said Bob Johnson, who also is his grandfather.
