Saturday is annual City of Irvine Lacrosse Championship event, taking place at Irvine High. Play begins at 7:30 a.m.
The day is a fundraiser for the high school programs and a good way to promote the sport in the city.
The first city championship took place in 2008.
Admission: $5 for adults; $3 for students; 14 and under are free

8:15 a.m. – Exhibition Game (Varsity B – Northwood v. University)
9:30 a.m. – Varsity – Woodbridge v. Irvine
11 a.m. – Varsity – Northwood v. University
12:30 p.m. – Chapman University Lacrosse clinic (HS players only)
12:30 p.m. – City of Irvine HS Coaches Clinic (youth players only)
1 p.m. – Skills Competition (varsity HS players only)
2 p.m. – Exhibition Game (Varsity B)
2:45 p.m. – Exhibition Game (Varsity B)
4 p.m. – Varsity – Tournament consolation game (losers of morning varsity games)
6 p.m. – Varsity – City Championship game (winners of morning varsity games)
7:30 p.m. – Own the City Award Ceremony
