Capistrano Valley senior Brooke Lorentzen nearly matched her county-leading time in the 500-yard freestyle by blazing a 4:53.75 against visiting Tesoro on Tuesday.
The time just missed her county-leading 4:53.71 but Tesoro’s girls are in control after the 500 free with a 67-43 lead.
Capo Valley’s defending CIF Division 1 champion boys also are in charge, leading, 70-40, after the 500.
