Mission Viejo quarterback Brock Johnson, the Register’s offensive player of the year, will make an unofficial visit this weekend to USC, the senior said Thursday.
Johnson said recently-hired USC assistant coach Tyson Helton, brother of USC coach Clay Helton, will serve as his host. Tyson is the Trojans’ running back coach and passing game coordinator.
Johnson’s uncle, Rob, played quarterback at USC.
Johnson made an official recruiting trip last weekend to Georgetown.
