AD changes at JSerra and Orange Lutheran
Manarino replaced by Hartigan; Ragan leaving for job in Colorado.
Pete Manarino has been replaced as JSerra's athletic director by Jim Hartigan, JSerra principal Tom Waszak confirmed Tuesday. Manarino was in his second school year as the school's athletic director.
Waszak declined to say whether Manarino was removed from the position or vacated it voluntarily. Waszak said Hartigan, also JSserra's varsity football head coach, will serve as interim athletic director until a fulltime athletic director is found. Manarino was not a teacher or coach at JSerra.
T.J. Ragan will leave his post as athletic director at Orange Lutheran to become strength and conditioning coach in the athletic department at Valor Christian High in Highland Ranch, Colo., Lutheran principal Gregg Pinick confirmed Tuesday.
At Valor Christian, Ragan will work again with Rod Sherman and Brent Vieselmeyer, who were assistant coaches at Lutheran through the 2006-07 school year. Sherman is Valor's athletic director and Vieselmeyer is the football head coach.
