Lancers, who have won eight in a row, replace Los Alamitos as top team in the county.
There is a new No. 1 team in Orange County baseball, as Orange Lutheran knocked Los Alamitos out of the top spot in the media poll.
Los Alamitos (9-2), which lost to Edison, 4-0, in a Sunset League game last week, had been No. 1 since the start of the season.
The Lancers, who were second in the county last week, had a 9-1 record entering Monday. They had won eight in a row and had outscored their opponents 50-13 during the streak.
