Gallagher runs wild

BURBANK Justin Gallagher rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns to lead Whittier Christian past Bellarmine-Jefferson, 48-31, on Friday night in a CIF-SS Northeast Division playoff game.

Whittier Christian (6-5) exploded for 568 total yards and scored seven touchdowns.

Wide receiver Aleks Schwerdt added 95 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 83 yards.
