Lions beat Lightning

NEWPORT COAST The Linfield Christian Lions dominated the Sage Hill Lightning, 62-32, giving the Lightning an early exit in the first round of the CIF playoffs Friday night. 

The Lions opened up on the field with an aggressive running attack led by running back Daniel Musquiz. Musquiz rushed for 320 yards on 38 carries with six touchdowns.

Linfield Christian’s offense was also anchored by a near perfect performance from quarterback Jason Moralez.

Moralez completed 10 of 11 passes for 114 yards and two touchdown passes and no interceptions.
