    El Dorado in a romp

    El Dorado vs. Rowland recap

    PLACENTIA - El Dorado used a solid game defensively to overcome a slow start offensively and cruised to 40-7 victory over visiting Rowland in a first-round CIF-SS Southwest Division contest Friday at Valencia High.

    The Golden Hawks (10-1) move on to face the winner of tonight 's El Toro-Bellflower matchup.

    Rowland, the third seed out of the San Antonio League, finishes at 3-8.

    Devin Deleon had TD runs of 2, 1, 42 and 2 yards to lead El Dorado.

    Kyle Allen hauled in a 839-yard scoring toss from Kane Wilson and Trace Wilson returned a fumble 18 yards for another Golden Hawk score.

    El Dorado's defense held Rowland to six first downs and 140 total yards.
