Here are my predictions for the Divisions 5-6 quarterfinals matches involving county teams.

Division 5

Cabrillo/Lompoc at St. Margaret's: The Conquistadores were second in the Los Padres League, winning 10 of 12. Overall, they have won 12 of 14 matches. The Tartans are now unbeaten in nine straight matches after winning 1-0 on the road against Santa Fe on a goal by freshman Lizzie Barbaresi. This is the second meeting of the season between these two at St. Margaret's High. The two teams played to a 1-1 tie in a nonleague match on December 14th, as Cabrillo rallied to score the match-tying goal in the second half.

My Thoughts: For the second time this season, the Tartans will welcome the Jaguars to their home field. The Tartans followed up their unblemished run to the Academy League title by adding two more playoff shutouts. St. Margaret's defense has played well as of late and they have been getting production throughout its roster. The Conquistadores have already proved that they can play with St. Margaret's and they should once again battle the Tartans throughout. It wouldn't shock me to see Cabrillo play well, but the Tartans will ultimately get the win and advance into the semifinals.

Winner: St. Margaret's

Division 6

Segerstrom at St. Bonaventure: The Jaguars remained perfect on the season with a 5-0 victory over Rialto. Cindy Maradiaga scored twice to lead Segerstrom, which improved to 18-0. Segerstrom, seeded No. 2 in the division, has outscored the opposition 19-1 over the last four matches. The Seraphs took home the team title in the Frontier League, winning nine of 10 matches. St. Bonaventure slipped into the quarterfinals with playoff wins over Rubidoux (1-0) and Yucca Valley (2-1).

My Thoughts: With each passing match and each passing win, the Jaguars have played up to their seeding as one of the top teams in the division. For the season, Segerstrom has outscored their opposition 62-7 thus far the season. They will face their first big challenge of the playoffs against the Seraphs, and though its' hard to see the Jaguars continuing their domination at its current pace, I do the see them coming away with a road win and qualifying for the semifinals.

Winner: Segerstrom

Katella at San Dimas: Two of the top five seeded teams in the division will square off here, as the Knights will travel to face the Saints. Both teams have been hot coming into the match. The Knights have won 12 straight, while the Valle Vista League champion Saints have won 14 straight. Katella will try to win on the road for the second time in two matches. San Dimas has won eight of nine at home this season.

My Thoughts: Should be a hotly contest match, as the Knights look to advanced to the semifinals. Katella's offense will have to match that of the Saints, which has produced two of more goals in 14 straights matches. While the two teams are very similar, it's hard to go against the team playing at home in this round. San Dimas is my pick to advance in a close match.

Winner: San Dimas
