Mater Dei All-County punter Ryan Stonehouse signed with Colorado State of the Mountain West Conference on Tuesday, the senior announced.
Stonehouse (5-10, 170) attracted considerable attention from recruiters but picked the Rams because of the chance to play right away.
He also earned a full scholarship, a coup for any high school kicker or punter. The specialists often have to play their way onto scholarship.
Stonehouse averaged 44.1 yards per punt last season. Thanks to his impressive hang-time, opponents recorded only 8 return yards.
