Newport Harbor goes unbeaten in Sunset League
Boys volleyball roundup: Caldwell leads the way for Sailors with 10 kills.
Kyle Caldwell had 10 kills as No. 1 Newport Harbor wrapped up an unbeaten effort in the Sunset League by defeating Marina, 25-13, 25-18, 25-20, Thursday night in boys volleyball.
The Sailors (26-3 overall) finished with a 10-0 record in league, earning their first league title since 2006.
Mark Liebermann added eight kills for Newport Harbor, and Tucker Peleuses and Max Volz each had seven kills.

In another Sunset match:
Los Alamitos 3, Esperanza 1: The Griffins battled their way to a 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-22 victory that lifted their league record to 7-3.
Joey Toledo had a team high 18 kills for the Aztecs (8-15, 2-8).
