Woodbridge escapes with victory over Huntington Beach

In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 3, Huntington Beach 2: Blake Mills had 27 kills and Scott Liljestrom had 56 assists as the Warriors escaped with a 25-15, 25-23, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12 victory against the host Oilers to improve to 9-0 in league.
Huntington Beach (6-3 in league) rallied to tie the match at 2-2 after losing the first two games.
Foothill 3, El Toro 0:Brett Bova had 10 kills to lift the visiting Knights (23-5, 7-2) past the Chargers (4-17, 1-8), 25-19, 25-16, 25-13.
Matt Rackleff had five kills for El Toro.
In the Empire League:
Loara 3, Cypress 0:The Saxons used a balanced scoring attack to improve to 12-2 overall and 8-1 with a 25-21, 25-19, 25-13 victory against the visiting Centurions.
CJ Morales (14 kills), Kieran Saikaly (12 kills) and Derek Rhyne (10 kills) each recorded double-digit kills. Bryan Do had 38 assists.
In the Orange Coast League:
Calvary Chapel 3, Costa Mesa 1: Sherman Micah had 25 kills and Cameron Karkut had 50 assists, four blocks and seven kills to lift the host Eagles past the Mustangs, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20.
Ryan Steinhaus added 11 kills and two aces for Calvary Chapel.
In the Century League:
El Modena 3, Villa Park 0:The visiting Vanguards swept the Spartans, 28-26, 26-24, 27-25.
Kyle Castle 10 kills and Travis Walker had 12 assists and two aces for El Modena.
El Dorado 3, Tustin 0:The Golden Hawks improved to 15-0 with a 25-20, 30-28, 25-22 win against the visiting Tillers.
In the Sunset League:
Edison 3, Esperanza 0:Torey Darin had 12 kills and three aces, and Curt Mahle and Nick Cappricio each 31 assists as the Chargers (14-12, 6-3) powered past the Aztecs (8-14, 2-7), 25-22, 25-22, 25-13.
Joe Fitzpatrick had nine kills and four blocks for Edison. Joey Toledo had 10 kills for Esperanza.
Fountain Valley 3, Marina 0:Mike Appel had 7 kills and Tyler Freleaux and Bryce Waldron each added 6 kills as the visiting Barons swept the Vikings, 25-21, 25-11, 25-20.
Brandon Cruz had 16 assists and Andrew Bock added 15.
In the Pacific Coast League:Corona del Mar 3, University 1: The Sea Kings improved their league leading record to 8-0 behind Dylan Davis' 11 kills with a 25-19, 25-16, 17-25, 25-19 win over the visiting Trojans.
In the South Coast League:
Dana Hills 3, Tesoro 2: The Dolphins (16-10, 5-4) rallied from a two-game deficit to edge the host Titans, 13-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-12.
