Jillian Stanley had an RBI double, and Michelle Tait struck out 12 as No. 7 Mission Viejo remained unbeaten in the South Coast League by defeating Capistrano Valley, 1-0, Monday in a softball game at Capistrano Valley. (Click here for more game stats)
Tait earned her seventh victory for the Diablos (22-5-1 overall), who improved to 9-0 in league.
San Clemente 3, Aliso Niguel 0: Ryan Crowe pitched a five-hitter and struck out eight to collect her 10th victory. Kailey McCasland went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the host Tritons (13-13, 6-3).
In the Golden West League:
Orange 5, Saddleback 1: Taylor Nicolosi went 2 for 3 with a triple, four RBIs and a run scored in the road victory for the Panthers. Sarah Singh pitched a complete game, giving up five hits, for her 13th victory.
