Q&A with North's Sean Kurtz, part 3

We check back with the linebacker for All-Star gameday predictions.

OCVarsity.com

We've been checking in with North linebacker Sean Kurtz (Canyon) throughout the days leading up to the game. (Read previous interviews, Part 1 and Part 2.) Now that gameday is here, he's back with his thoughts on the game.

Q: After 10 days of practice, are you guys ready?
Sean Kurtz: Yes, definitely. It was weird to get back into football after taking so long off and then going right to pads, but all of the bugs are out and we're ready to go.

Q: Are you going to do anything different to prepare for the game?
Kurtz: I'm pumped. ...It's not going to take long to prep. I'm going to do my normal things that I would for any other game. We're probably going to get there (LeBard Stadium) a little early, get some lunch and do our thing from there.

Q: How do you see the game playing out?
Kurtz: I see them (South) coming out on offense and trying to shove it (the ball) down our throats. They have a big offensive line and they think they can do that to us. ...We'll see. That's what I think they’re going to do. I know how Trabuco Hills (school of South coaching staff) runs their offense. Trabuco Hills is a smash-mouth football team and they like to run and they've always had a big offensive line. I see our defense swarming. ....We have a lot of speed, a ton of speed. Offensively, Canyon (school of North coaching staff) was one of the top-rated offenses in the county last year. ...And now, we have even better (players) at the (skill) positions, so we'll see how it plays out.

Q: Do you have a prediction?
Kurtz: I say North wins it. ...big.
