All-Star Football preview: Q&A with South player Carlo Audagnotti

OCVarsity.com

The Santa Margarita running back (see stats) shares his thoughts on  Friday's O.C. All-Star Game.

How are things going  so far for the South?

We're working hard and we're coming together as a team.

What has this  experience been like for you?

It has been amazing. I've met a lot of really good players  and they're all great guys.

When the rosters were  announced, it seemed that the South was automatically deemed the underdog. What  do you think about that?

We're always the underdog. I'm not going to say that we're  better than them or they're better than us. ...When Friday night comes, the  game will be determined.

Do you guys use the  underdog role as a motivation factor?

Yes.

One of the strengths  of the South is the huge offensive line, as a running back, how do you feel  about that?

We have a bigger line this year, which is really helpful for  me. Running behind those guys and hiding behind them is great.

Is there anybody that  you're looking forward to see play Friday?

Wes Fletcher (Valencia). I've heard about him,  but I haven't really seen him in person.
