Spring Insider with Kyle Dravis
Q&A with Orange Lutheran Running Back/Receiver Kyle Dravis
Question: Who’s the NFL player you see yourself playing like?
Kyle Dravis: I see myself as more of a LaDainian Tomlinson, a shifty back. (I’m) not always going to come up and hit someone, but elusive, trying to make that first guy miss.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do, your favorite part of the game?
KD: Definitely a kick return. To me it feels like everyone has to do the right thing for it work. It’s most exciting if you have no one else in front of you except green grass.
Q: In your dream situation, where will you be a year from now?
KD: I don’t have a certain school that I’m looking at. A dream situation would be if I could contribute to a team, (whether) as a starter or a reserve.
Q: What are your personal goals this season?
KD: Leaving the younger players next year with a goal, so they can look up and be like, We want to be like that class.
Q: What is something people don’t know about you?
KD: A month before signing up to go to high school, I was leaning toward Mater Dei. But I live about a block away from Orange Lutheran. I didn’t know about the school until a year before high school. My plan was to go to Mater Dei. Playing Pop Warner in eighth grade all my friends were going to Orange Lutheran. I became interested and attended a couple school functions. I’ve lived in the same house for nine years and had never thought about coming here.
