Orange Coast League: Biggest question and outlook

OCVarsity.com

Biggest question to answer this spring: Can any of these teams build confidence toward getting out of the first round of the Southern Division playoffs?

Outlook: It is still a wide-open league in Season 3 of the Orange Coast. Four of the six league contests played a year ago were decided by less than 10 points. The Mustangs made the playoffs a year ago on the strength of their defense and return most their starters. But they, along with the Eagles, were nonfactors in the playoffs. No team in this league had more than four victories. Estancia had the league's best offense and returns most its starters at the skill positions. Laguna Beach was the league champion two years ago, and Calvary Chapel was in playoff contention until the regular-season finale in 2007.
