Golden West League: Biggest question and outlook
(Editor's note: Information in this report was corrected on May 9.)
Biggest question to answer this spring:
Can Westminster become a contender in the Southern Division?
Outlook: Westminster was dominant again in league play, winning its five games by an average of more than 30 points. With seven all-league players returning, their sights will likely be on the playoffs, where they were eliminated in the second round in 2007. Ocean View might give the Lions their biggest challenge for the league title. Orange and Santa Ana should battle for at least the third playoff spot, along with Segerstrom, which is looking to make its first postseason trip in Season Three.
