Baseball playoffs: Division II highlights

Highlights from Friday's CIF-SS playoff games:

DIVISION II

El Toro 12, Ocean View 3: Nolan Arenado and Grant Anderson each had four RBIs to power the Chargers past the visiting Seahawks. Anderson finished the game 2 for 3 with a double and a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Arenado was also 2 for 3 with a three-run home run in the second. El Toro scored three runs in each of the first three innings, and scored runs in all but one inning.

Trabuco Hills 12, Orange 1: Ryan Wagner had four RBIs and a double for the visiting Mustangs. Mike Sianez pitched a complete game and earned the win.

Cypress 9, Paso Robles 6: After blowing a 6-4 seventh inning lead, Matt Sisto and Andrew Mackey each homered in the top of the eighth to give the Centurions an upset victory over the host Bearcats.

Sisto’s two-run home run was his second of the day and gave him a total of five RBIs. Mackey, who was 3 for 4, followed with a solo shot that extended the lead to 9-6. 

Danny Pulfer earned the victory in relief, despite surrendering the tying runs in the seventh. He finished 2 for 5 at the plate with a two-run triple in the sixth. The Centurions will advance to play the winner of the Santa Barbara-Damien game.

Katella 9, Arroyo Grande 3: Eric Jiminez went 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the host Knights. Nick Ramirez pitched seven innings giving up six hits and striking out ten to earn the victory.
