It’s been quite the senior season for Northwood’s Bethan Knights.

First, she was named the Register’s girls cross country runner of the year. Then in March, she came closer to beating Simi Valley star Sarah Baxter than anybody has before when the two tied in the 3,200 meters at the Mt. Carmel Invitational.

At the Arcadia Invitational, Knights ran a 10:04.05 in the 3,200, which currently stands as the best time in the state.

Today at 2:30 p.m., Knights will sign her National Letter of Intent with Cal, according to Timberwolves coach Louie Muniz.

Knights is closing in on all-time county best time in the 3,200. Woodbridge’s Christina Babcock ran a 10:04.03 in 2008.
