Servite baseball: Todd Cook interested

Just got off the phone with Todd Cook, currently an assistant coach at Edison and former coach at Servite. Cook said he has informed Servite administration that he will apply for the school's baseball coaching position that was vacated this week when Dave Lawn resigned to accept the athletic director position at JSerra.

Cook continues to teach at Servite, as he has done for 20 years. He is a Servite alumnus. "I love the school, love the kids at Servite and love the direction the school is going," Cook said. "I hope to be at Servite the rest of my life."

He coached Servite for 15 years, resigning at the end of the 2007 season.

Cook said he knows competition will be thick for the Servite baseball coaching job.
