Say this about energetic second-year UNLV footbal coach Tony Sanchez: his Rebels have their eyes on Orange County recruits.

UNLV recently offered the following juniors: Mater Dei linebacker Fa’avae Fa’avae, Tesoro wide receiver Shane Coleman and Mission Viejo linebacker/running back Colin Schooler.

The offers arrive after UNLV signed Mater Dei wide receiver AJ Collins and former Santa Margarita QB Johnny Stanton via Saddleback College during the winter.

Sanchez, of course, knows the county and Southern Section well. He is the former coach of Bishop Gorman of Las Vegas, which played SoCal schools such as Servite and Santa Margarita among others.

Coleman also has been offered by Central Michigan of the Mid-American Conference while Fa’avae has added San Jose State to his growing list of offers.
