Orange County’s football recruiting season is finishing with a flurry.

La Habra All-County quarterback Eric Barriere has committed to FCS contender Eastern Washington, Highlanders coach Frank Mazzotta announced Tuesday night.

Barriere made his first recruiting trip to Eastern Washington and then visited Sacramento State and Hawaii.

He has been compared to former Eastern Washington QB Vernon Adams, who is preparing for the NFL draft with O.C.-based quarterback guru Steve Calhoun.

Meanwhile, San Clemente All-County offensive lineman Donte Harrington decommitted from Army and announced on Twitter that he has committed to Boise State.

The senior had committed to the Black Knights on Monday night after a home visit but now joins a Boise State class that included Huntington Beach tight end Nick Crabtree.

Harrington is the second high-profile county recruit to switch his commitment in recent weeks. Tesoro All-County quarterback Devon Modster decommitted from Arizona and switched to UCLA.
