A pivotal afternoon/evening is approaching for a few girls water polo races that are undecided with just days left in the regular season.

In the Empire, Kennedy plays host to Tustin at 4 p.m. with hopes of a victory, which could potentially create a three-way tie for second place with the Tillers and Valencia (plays host to Pacifica).

In a three-way tie, a coin-flip could determine second place with previous head-to-head results selecting the third-place team.

In the Freeway and Golden West, league tournaments are headed toward exciting finishes. Troy and La Habra clash a final at Sonora at 6:30 p.m. while Ocean View plays host to Segerstrom at 6 p.m.

Westminster and Loara play at 4:45 for third in the Golden West. Sunny Hills and Fullerton clash in the third-place match in the Freeway.

And there is the jam in the Sea View. Laguna Hills plays at San Juan Hills today and could clinch second with a victory. Capistrano Valley plays host to Trabuco Hills in a playoff for third place.

And just good measure today, Division 4 contender Mission Viejo plays at Division 1-playoff bound Santa Margarita in a measuring stick match for the Diablos.
