Highly rated prospect Osiris St. Brown and his brother Amon-Ra St. Brown have enrolled at Mater Dei, Mater Dei athletic director Phil Bellomo confirmed today.

The St. Brown brothers withdrew from Servite at the end of the 2014-15 school year.

Osiris St. Brown, who will be a junior this coming school year, played receiver on the Servite varsity in 2014. Amon-Ra, who will be a sophomore, played running back and safety on the Friars freshman team.

Osiris is among the top junior-to-be receiver prospects in California. He has scholarship offers from several colleges including Miami, Michigan and Notre Dame. Osiris, 6-foot-1 and 178 pounds, last year had 19 receptions and averaged 19 yards a reception.

Bellomo did not know today if the St. Browns would make the change of residence that would make them eligible all season or if they would not move and thus have to sit out the first month of the 2015 season before becoming athletically eligible.

The St. Browns’ transfer was anticipated in the Trinity League football community. Santa Margarita coach Rick Curtis said the brothers’ parents made a thorough campus visit at Santa Margarita in January.

Mater Dei coach Bruce Rollinson said via text message that the St. Brown family is in Europe this week. Rollinson expected the Osiris and Amon-Ra to begin practicing with the Monarchs next week.
