The Orange County top 10 is a poll of 10 media members who cover O.C. football.
Here is how I voted today …
1. Mission Viejo (10-0 overall record)
2. Mater Dei (8-2)
3. Tesoro (8-2)
4. Orange Lutheran (5-5)
5. Santa Margarita (5-5)
6. JSerra (7-3)
7. Servite (4-6)
8. La Habra (9-1)
9. San Clemente (8-2)
10. San Juan Hills (8-2)
I couldn’t figure out how to place Orange Lutheran, Santa Margarita, JSerra and Servite based on head-to-head results. So I placed them in that order for this reason — how they did against St. John Bosco. Orange Lutheran lost to Bosco by 19 points, Santa Margarita by 48, JSerra by 53 and Servite by 63.
(St. John Bosco is not in Orange County so it’s not in the Orange County top 10. We did not call Bosco an O.C. school back in the Angelus League days. We’re not going to ignore geographical facts now.)
