Softball: Can YL mount a comeback?

Yorba Linda isn't the kind of team that shies away from a fight. When somebody punches them in the mouth, they pick themselves up off the canvas and come back swinging.

Pacifica scored two runs in the bottom of the first and Jordan Townsend and Amanda Dirks start the top of the second with back-to-back singles for the Mustangs.

Cindy Okamoto flies out deep to right and Townsend tags and takes third. YL has runners on first and third with one out.

Pacifica ace Kaylee Carlson strikes out her counterpart, Paige von Sprecken. Two down.

Carlson gets Lauren Brooks on a called third strike to end the inning. Great job by Carlson to get out of that jam.

Bret Denio is doing a great job as announcer, plugging the $1 fruit and $1 pasta bowls at the snack bar. He sounds like UFC announced Mike Goldberg with these plugs.

The Esperanza kids are staying to support Yorba Linda. I think there might have been a bribe (no practice on Monday) involved.

PVS with a 1-2-3 inning to retire the Mariners in the bottom of the second.

Pacifica 2, Yorba Linda 0 after 2 innings.
