Speedy La Habra wide receiver Brett Bartolone (5-10, 177) has been offered by Washington State and new head coach Mike Leach, Highlanders coach Frank Mazzotta confirmed Tuesday.

"It's so awesome," Mazzotta said of the offer, which arrived Monday night.

Bartolone had offers from Air Force and two Ivy League programs but now could be headed to the pass-oriented offense of Leach and a reunion with former La Habra QB Cody Clements.

In other La Habra recruiting news, standout kicker/punter Sean Wale will make an official recruiting trip to Boise State the weekend of Jan. 20, the senior confirmed.

Wale believes Boise State is more interested in him as a punter. He averaged more than 45-yards per punt this past season.
