GARDEN GROVE – Here are six players on the North roster to watch in Thursday’s Brea Lions Orange County All-Star Game at Orange Coast College:

Nick Brown, Rancho Alamitos, QB: The record-setting passer, pictured left, threw some crisp and accurate balls at practice Monday night at Bolsa Grande. If the Golden West College-bound QB is on and has time to throw, he could have a strong game because he knows the offense and has large targets at receiver.

Alex Losoya, Mater Dei/Emil Graves, Los Alamitos, OL: Offensive line play will be critical for both teams. The defenses are often ahead of the offenses in all-star games. Losoya (6-4, 280) and Graves (6-3, 278) practiced with confidence Monday as they handled left tackle and left guard, respectively. Montana signee Dallas Hart of Pacifica (6-5, 310) could be an intriguing player at right tackle. Fullerton’s Delton Crandell also looked confident at right guard.

Justin Parcells, Servite, LB: The 5-foot-11, 205-pound linebacker showed outstanding quickness and instincts at practice Monday. He could shine as a playmaker against the pass or run. Parcells’ game bio says he is bound for Fullerton College.

The North also features three other linebackers to watch: newcomer Ronald Nickerson of Mater Dei, Xavier Hernandez of Villa Park and Garden Grove’s Reily Hoalton. Nickerson was one of the standouts Monday in his first practice while Hoalton added an interception against league rival, Nick Brown.

Christian Williams, Villa Park, TE/WR: The 6-foot-3, 235 tight end/wide receiver made a pair of leaping catches for touchdowns Monday, utilizing his height and ability to catch the ball at its highest point. With Los Alamitos’ Matt Nelson (6-4, 230) and Whittier Christian’s Noah Evans (6-4, 230) in the mix, Brown has big targets in the wide receiver/tight end mold.

Rasheed Williams, Mater Dei, DE: The Idaho State-bound senior leads arguably the best unit for the North. The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder showed quickness and strength off the edge Monday but don’t forget about his fellow defensive linemen: Los Al’s Jon Jennings, Kennedy’s T.J. Williams, Foothill’s Logan Wetherholt and Troy’s Joe Valadez. Westminster’s Steven Vu gives the line a change of pace with his speed.
