How good is Newport Harbor’s girls water polo team going to be this winter? Well, judging by their college commitment list, the Lady Sailors might be the team most ready to try to hang with defending Division 1 champion Laguna Beach.
Here’s the rundown on Newport Harbor’s commitments, courtesy of a few their players who helped run the desk at the Sunset League boys water polo action Wednesday:
First-team All-County goalie Carlee Kapana (UCLA)
Defender Rachel Whitelegge (UCLA)
Attacker Kate Pipkin (Indiana)
Center Chanel Schilling (UC San Diego)
Attacker Isabel Leveque (Marist)
The girls water polo preseason will make one of its final steps this weekend with the Foothill tournament.
