Josh Morgan of Orange Lutheran signed with the Texas Rangers today. Morgan said via text message that he received an $800,000 signing bonus.
Morgan, a shortstop, was selected by the Rangers in the third round of last week’s draft. Baseball America labeled Morgan as the sixth-best shortstop prospect for the draft.
