After tying for first in the CIF-SS Northern Individual Regional on Monday after posting a 4-under-par 68 in Oxnard, Emily Sumner lost a one-hole sudden-death playoff and placed second on the Vineyard Course at River Ridge Golf Course.  

Walnut’s Anabelle Chang won the tournament after birdying the first playoff hole.

Troy senior Beth Lillie posted a 3-under-par 69 and tied for third with San Marino junior Elizabeth Wang.

The top 36 players advanced to the Nov. 3 CIF-SS Individual Championship at Western Hills Country Club in Chino Hills.

County qualifiers include: Sumner, Lillie, Kaylee Sakoda (Troy), Kristen Kim (Sonora), Isabel Sy (Troy), Hannah Ko (Sunny Hills), Sherilyn Villanueva (Troy) and Leeyen Peralta (Connelly)
