Los Alamitos linebacker Matt Locher, The Register’s 2014 defensive player of the year, has committed to Boise State, he and the Griffins football program said Sunday.
Locher (6-3, 245) had committed to Cal Poly SLO but visited the Broncos over the weekend.
“Announcing my decision to switch my committment to Boise State! Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far,” Locher posted on Twitter.
Los Alamitos football program reported that Locher committed as a defnsive end.
The Broncos also have a commitment from San Clemente All-County linebacker Riley Whimpey, who will enroll in 2017 have serving a mission.
