GOLETA Laguna Beach’s No. 1-ranked girls water polo team will face off against No. 2 Foothill for the third time in as many weeks later today in the finals of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions at Dos Pueblos.

The teams set up the trilogy  earlier today by soundly reaching the finals of the tournament.

Foothill handled No. 3 Newport, 6-2, behind three goals by Cana Manzella and 10 saves by Kenzie Snyder. The Lady Sailors finished 0 for 5 on the power-play.

In the first semifinal, Laguna beat Corona del Mar, 9-3, by holding the Sea Queens to a 1 for 7 with the extra attacker and getting four goals from Aria Fischer.

Orange County will claim the top-six places with a Battle of the Bay III in the third-place game and Orange Lutheran-San Clemente in the fifth-place game.

Laguna handled Foothill in the finals of the Holiday Cup and edged them in a nonleague game at Foothill. Laguna Beach coach Ethan Damato said he doesn’t care who the Breakers play in the tournament finals. “We just want to be there,” he said.
