On Monday evening, Mission Viejo receiver and son of former NFL standout Keyshawn Johnson, Keyshawn Johnson Jr., announced he will transfer from Mission Viejo.
“I will be transferring from Mission Viejo for academic reasons,” Johnson Jr. tweeted. “I don’t know where I’m going yet but somewhere to better myself.”
Diablos coach Bob Johnson also confirmed the transfer on Monday night.
Johnson Jr. posted one reception in the Mission Viejo’s season-opening 18-7 loss to Liberty of Bakersfield on Friday night.
Johnson Jr. has received offers from schools such as Florida State, Ohio State and Miami.
