Irvine coach Amy Klamberg resigned to focus on her family, Irvine assistant athletic director Erik Terry said in an email.

Klamberg gave birth to her second daughter this season and stepped away from head coaching duties, still attending many games. She was replaced this season by Anya Aardahl on an interim basis.

The Vaqueros went 13-16 this year and advanced to the quarterfinals in Division 3AA before losing to eventual champion Santa Barbara.

Klamberg will remain in her role as a counselor at the school, Terry said.
