Six Orange County teams, including three from the Trinity League and two from the Sunset, were selected for the preseason RivalsHigh 100, a ranking of the top 100 high school football teams in the nation.

Coincidentally, the No. 1 team in the rankings is Trinity High of Euless, Texas.

Four California teams appear on the list before an Orange County entrant: No. 4 De La Salle; No. 11 Long Beach Poly; No. 25 Centennial of Corona; and No. 27 Edison of Fresno.

Mater Dei is the top Orange County team in the national rankings at No. 35, and Trinity League rivals Orange Lutheran and Servite were No. 51 and No. 92, respectively.

The Sunset League was well-represented with No. 45 Los Alamitos and No. 73 Edison, which plays Orange County's first game of the season Saturday at Lahaina, Maui.

And Mission Viejo, which will be led by Cal-bound quarterback Allan Bridgdford, rounds out the Orange County teams in the rankings at No. 42.
