Coaches' predicted order of finish
1. Canyon
Comment: The Comanches, CIF-Southern Section Division I finalists last year, lost some offense to graduation, but they do have plenty of pitching returning.
2. Villa Park
Comment: The infield is solid, and the Spartans have the bats, but pitching will have to develop.
3. El Dorado
Comment: The Golden Hawks have talent and loads of tradition, but the pitching staff might be an area of concern.
4. El Modena
Comment: Freddie Freeman, last season's county player of the year, graduated, so it might be tough for the Vanguards to match their production of 2007.
5. Brea Olinda
Comment: Team chemistry is a plus, but the Wildcats might not have the talent to contend for a playoff berth in one of the toughest leagues in the county.
6. Tustin
Comment: A young, speedy team that might not have the pitching needed to contend for a playoff berth in this league.
