Second round preview: Pac-5 Division

Long Beach Poly vs. Newport Harbor– This one wasn’t close when they met in September, but Newport Harbor is a better team since then. And so is Long Beach Poly.

Edison vs. Orange Lutheran– It’s a rematch of last year’s CIF final, and each team is playing its best football.

Servite vs. Esperanza– Which team will be able to impose its running game on the other? Each team’s defense is good enough for that not to happen either way, making this one a potential dogfight.

Mater Dei vs. Crespi– Orange Lutheran proved you don’t have to have more offense than the Monarchs to beat them, but it still seems that is how it would have to happen.
