| You know what really scares me? Not the bagging on other schools, name calling or poor sportsmanship displayed but the incredibly poor grammar and spelling used by supposed students at these schools. Wow. I mean its shocking. Maybe they should pay as much attention in class as they do to these message boards and the sporting events. Behold our hard earned tax dollars at work in the local educational system! Now that is scary! BTW its obviously not an issue of text speak or the limited punctuation allowed on this site. |

| Cool if LH can go to the state championships. Good for them but the road to that is through Fullerton and i dont think its going to be as easy as the LH fans are predicting. I was glad to hear today that it will be played at the CSUF stadium which will allow alot of the students who couldnt make it to Santa Ana to attend. I think its going to be an awesome game and im really looking forward to it. Good luck to both teams and may the best team come out the victor, and yes i know all you LH fans will say LH is the better team. But we shall see. |

| We've all heard the ongoing comments surrounding the Freeway League. I would just like to say that no 1. Troy High has coaches with the highest integrity. I believe that an honest mistake was made. No 2 As a parent, wouldn't you hesitate to blow the whistle on another team? Maybe you hope someone else would come forward first? But, sorry, we do have rules, for good reasons. As sad as the outcome, I think the Troy coaches would agree. No 3. La Habra has done very well, and they have had some undeserved garbage to deal with. They have done themselves proud. No 4. Like La Habra, Fullerton teamplayers had nothing to do with all the controversy. They have played a very good season and are having to put up with Troy and La Habra fan's negative comments. Let's just give these kids the joy of playing a good game. I for one am looking forward to the next game. Not because I am mad and want someone to get killed on the field. Let's cheer on the excellence these teams deserve. BOTH TEAMS! I am very proud that the Freeway League has done so well! Troy players, I am so sad about the way your season turned out, especially you seniors. You would have done well, too. Whatever the outcome on Friday, we have 3 teams we can be proud of! Let's stop all the low comments and team bashing! |

| I dont know what unbeliveable or talibanfoe stated but based on the comments it was something negative towards one of the coaches of LH who is currently serving in Iraq. If that is the case they are despictable individuals. They disrespected an American soldier who serves his country and represents your fine community. Shame on them. LHHS should be ashamed to be associated with individuals like that. As far as the game goes, all the bickering goes beyond the norm and is obscene. I wish both teams luck and to the victors go the bragging rights. Much success to both teams, the coaches, the ADs, and to those that cheer on the teams. |

| TO LHHS Marching Band It was i that said that you two go to the same school but continually bag on each other. Work together and you will have alot more fun at the Fullerton La Habra game. No matter how good LH is i believe Fullerton will give them a good run. I hope that the winner of that team whoever it may be, will help get rid of all the anomosity between the two schools. The rivilry is good but in some cases here it has been totally disrespectful to both teams. Sad thing it is mostly the parents that are causing the problems which is normally what occurs. The players will play an excellent game and one team will be the victor. Good luck to both teams |

| Tonight Cal Hi played tough the whole game limiting La Habra to just 30 points in the first half. Cal Hi defense did a good job, and offense was able to make plays. Cal Hi Condors simply failed to move the ball into the end zone and left a bagel showing at the end of the game. Final 44-0 La Habra. This has to be the worst nightmare for Fullerton's coach. After taking the 1st seed, playing the easy end of the bracket, forcing La Habra into the difficult bracket, hoping the teams with better records would defeat La Habra, he finds his team facing La Habra to make up the regular season game missed due to the fire emergencies, and the CIF finals. La Habra will come ready to play, and I wish the best for the boys on both teams. Both teams have worked hard all season, and it will truly be a pleasure to watch a great group of boys display their well practiced talents on the field. Perhaps the game can be moved to a larger venue of Fullerton's choice so all that want to attend can find a SEAT and reasonable parking. |

| La Habra is ahead 37-0 late in the third quarter over CalHi. Definitely looks like the LHHS and FUHS match up we were all looking for. This game will be one of the best in Freeway League history. Both teams are going to play with alot of heart and talent. the victory will go to whoever wants it more. I certainly hope they choose a site that is not advantageous to either team. they should not play at cerritos college nor at the fullerton stadium. Best of luck to both teams and i am looking forward to a great heads up game. |

| If blue crew is an indication of the type of student that attends LHHS i feel bad for the school. Calling a fellow student a Koonta i would say is racist name calling and the name of mexicant also has racial overtones. I can imagine the type of student that belongs to the blue crew. Attention getting behavior and attempting to bag on your own LH band members through intimidation and threats on line is both cowardice and disrespectful. You both attend the same school but it is obvious that you are not one. If you both support the same team with the same goals then work together, quit your degrading of each other. |

Also its a shame that even the blue crew doesn't support the band, i thought that you all were one team, the La Habra team, but it seems you all bag on each other. Blue crew vs the LHHS marching band, now that would be a great game to watch. I am not being disrespectful because i will tell you that the marching bands of any high school raises the level of the spirit in the stands. While the antics of a few people that threaten their own people from the same school or does nothing more than clown around detracts from the spirit of the game. Good luck at Cal tonight, Fullerton is waiting for you. |

| YOU ARE RIGHT. THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR. Not very bright on the boys part. I was as mad as your Troy mates were. Unfortuntely, almost understandable, when you are 16 to 18 year old boy that has been in the shadow of the almight Troy, walks in to practice, walks out 30 minutes later with such crazy surprising news. Sure you cheer initally, because you are human. Then it sets in about the pain for the actual kids involved. The yakking and name calling on these boards from the adults is actually worse since they should know better. And there were many kids that called their friends on the Troy team to show support. Never heard about that huh? 75 percent of the kids on the Fullerton team has friends or family that also attend Troy and play on their teams. P. S. it was a Friday, but there wasn't a game. All Freeway league play was the day before. |

| Hi Stop the Insanity. Whats the problem here? I never made a single remark against a player on the Fullerton team. I did report the observations of another, but placed my oposition to such action in the same sentence. You would like to shut of debate, and censor free speech, while there seems to be proof of manipulation? Did the Fullerton coach report a rule violation when it occured, or did he wait until it gave him an advantage in the play offs? It seems he played an easier bracket, and avoided a possible rematch with Troy. I am sorry for the boys on the team. They are blameless, and just want to play ball. I am also sorry they were victims of poor sportsmanship at the hands of La Serna. I glad there was an ejection for that, but there is a feeling that it is usually "look the other way, day" on the part of the officials. I have been to India many times, and Kharma pertains to actions or deeds, not polite discussion. No one has to fear Kharma as it is not a form of spiritual punishment. Have a good game Friday, the boys are doing well. |

| To football Fan.
I am a student at Troy, not a football player, cheerleader or Band member. Just a student. On your post you put The funniest thing about this mess is how the Troy boys ended up being nothing but brown noses to LH.
All I can say is that they chose to cheer LH on after the way the fullerton boys treated them. I'm not talking about what all the other people on the board are talking about as far as the coaches. But on the day all of the stuff went down I was standing outside in front of our school with alot of the football guys and two cars with the fullerton football team and others came by and the only reason we knew they were fullerton football was because most of them in the car had on their jerseys because it was friday and started yelling obscentities about the team and our boys, and calling them loosers. Now why would they want to go watch fullerton than. So a bunch of the guys showed up at the LH game. To their suprise they were signaled out by LH and their coach thanking them for their support. So they decided to keep going to the games knowing they wouldn't have to deal with any bad blood. If that happened to me I wouldn't want to go to fullerton to get more abuse. |

| Ask any FU player, they are fully aware that they are CO champs with La Habra and have no illusions that they are Number 1, soley. If they had rolled over in the playoffs, then you could have done a happy dance and declared your absolute supremacy. BUT, they are playing like champs. Do not take that away from the players. No one, NO ONE is slighting La Habra. Rules are rules, all schools agree and abide by them. Coins tosses are random, are they not? Stinks but it is what it is. La Habra is No. 1.
La Habra is No. 1. La Habra is No. 1.
La Habra is No. 1. La Habra is No. 1. La Habra is No. 1. La Habra is No. 1.
Happy now. Good Luck against Cal. |

In last week's game, La Serna kids were throwing fists at the Fullerton kids WITHOUT retaliation. With an ejection too. We are so over all of you that keep throwing out the jabs and insults to our team. UNLESS YOU KNOW AND HAVE SEEN OR HAVE THE PROOF, STOP CHIRPING ABOUT THE FULLERTON PROGRAM. Just cheer YOUR team on. Karma is a funny thing. Keep it up and see what happens. |

| Yuup opines in an earlier post that Shurr beat La Habra fair and square. That is exactly what they did, beat two players by hitting them square in the face, hard, with malice. There was nothing fair about it. The QB and his best receiver were victims of the same beyond the pale hits with what looked like intention to injure the opposing players for at least the duration of the game. This is very dangerous, and no coach would allow his players to engage in this activity. I have to wonder how the players know to do this? I discussed this with the father of a league coach who is as disgusted by this tactic as I am, and he says that Fullerton also has a reputation for manipulating the game this way. I hope this is not a current practice of the Fullerton team, and that genuine sportsmanship will ensure fair play by all teams. To the Blue Crew, everyone loves your support and cheering for the team. Please continue with your appearances |

| Seriously people enough with the Troy and Fullerton situation. ITS OVER. All you can do is make sure it doesn't happen again. Now lets support our Freeway League teams so we can prove that the OC is the best. But I will say I believe La Habra will win it all. |

| How do YOU know? How are YOU so sure? Where is YOUR proof? YOU all knowing conspiracy theorists have got to relax and cheer on YOUR new found La Habra brothers and focus on next year. If YOU all know so much about Smilowitz, YOU could say a prayer for him and his family since he lost his only son to cancer DURING THIS season. Time to grow up and move on. Use YOUR time and energy in a positive manner to help get the player out of his year suspension! |

| I'm not makin excuses. I never said it didn't happen. What I am Saying is that Burton nor the other coaches new about this until it was brought to their attention at which time they checked and found that the boy who practiced the 8 paractices in spring should have waited until summer camp. Should they have know, yes but you and others keep saying they knew all along WHICH IS NOT TRUE. However fullerton did know and waited. THOSE ARE THE FACTS. You can keep saying our Coaches knew and fullerton didn't that's ok if that makes you sleep better. If anyone is Jealous it is and always has been Fullerton being jealous of Troy. Yep you're right Smilowitz did the know the rule at the time and Troy unfortunately didn't and he knew it when this boy was practicing in spring, instead of coming forward than BACK IN MAY to tell someone he waited until the end of the season AFTER TROY BEAT FULLERTON He may play by the rules but only when it's to his advantage. It wasn't the coaches that were punished it was the boys. |

| Quit makin excuses. Whether it was reported in week one or week 10 doesnt change the fact that it happened. If Burton bothered to respect the rules, there would be nothing to report. Hate Smilowitz all you want but its just jealousy. He actually knows the rules and plays by them. As far as La Habra Cal. Sorry Cal you don't stand a chance. Fullerton was expected to be knocked out in the first round. What round is it now? Thought so. |

| To Football Fan.
There are ALOT of Parents and players that will continue to stick up for our coaching staff and AD. They did make a mistake but THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF IT AT THE TIME. you can keep saying they knew all along but they didn't because the rule had just changed this past year. The Boy A Freshman at the time in question pracaticed 8 times during spring practice and he was on JV at the time at fullerton. Do you honestly believe the coaches would jepordaize the whole season because of this one boy. I DONT THINK SO. As far as disrepecting the coach at fullerton, he is the one who knew the whole time because this boy was very visiable to him and the boy even told the coaching staff he was going over to practiceat Troy. That and several parents saw coaches from Fullerton at Troy's spring practice not smilowitz but his other coaches and were wondering at the time why they were there. Go figure. So you can keep saying that the coaches just found out AFTER Troy beat Fullerton but we all know the truth. If the coach was so big on reporting the infraction he should have done it at the Begining of the season and not waited until the end. The "Moral courage" your coach should have had should have been when he first knew Keep telling yourself he didn't know . we know. So football fan you can believe what you want to that's your prerogative. |

| to that blue crew kid, what is up with that? thats the lamest thing ive ever heard, cal-hi and la habra stop talking trash and just support your team. It doesnt matter if La Habra has been dominating all their opponents. Look what happened to the undefeated Troy team last year when they took on Santa Fe and got stopped. Schurr beat La Habra fair and square and won cif. Dont get too confident, anything could happen |

| TO Footballfan2 You are completely right, I obviously do not know Coach Burton or the AD at Troy. But i do know what CIF rules are and those two individuals being the professionals that they are should also know those rules since they work athletics. How can a coach NOT KNOW that it is wrong for a person to attend one school and practice ball at another? I can agree that some people make mistakes however, this is a flagrant violation of the rules. They did apologize to their players and parents and oh how horrible that must have been for them. But the bottom line is they were wrong, regardless of ethical issues, they were wrong. Goodluck next year in rebuilding the Troy program, there is alot of talent out there and i'm sure that next year you will again be fighting for 1st place. |

| Its amazing how some people continue to stick up for a coach that obviously did something wrong by playing an ineligible player and disrespecting a a coach that did the right thing by reporting the infraction. Yes the Troy apologized, but he apologized only after he was caught, had he not been caught would he have reported the problem himself? Yet Smilowitz is looked down on for doing the right thing. He had the moral courage to stand by the rules. He is by far a greater person for doing that. Who knows what the outcome will be this Friday or the following weekend, it doesnt matter, because there is a much bigger issue here and that is the one of teaching our young people the value of strong inner strength and to stand up for what is right. The Troy coaches should take a neutral stance on the playoff games and not support a specific team. By supporting one team they are definitely showing that they are vindictive because they did get caught doing something wrong. I say the Finals will be La Habra vs Fullerton and the winner will be the best prepared and talented team, good luck to both teams. One more note to the football parents, it is a game that your sons play, not you. Let them determine who the winner will be, your disparaging words on here will not determine the winner. I think some of you should get over your "Friday Night Lights" mentality and let the young men settle it on the field. |

| Po Parent, there you go again assuming something. didn't anyone teach you about that. You just continue to make an a-- of yourself. For your informaiton I'm NOT THE BOOSTER PRESIDENT nor am I on the boosters. As i stated before I was one of those parents that couldn't pay the asked for Fee's so obviously BRIGHT one I didn't have the extra Cash to join the boosters. Also I don't know the coach personally except for what my son tells me and what I've seen of him at practice and games. I admire the man because of how I see my boy has grown being around his organization and from what he teaches the boys. Also because he owned up to his mistake and apologized. I know you being the perfect person that you are, you have never made any mistakes. It's not only about the game po parent but than again you don't get that. So once again you ARE WRONG. Keep making all those assumptions it may help you to sleep better at night. |

| footballfan2 or should I say "President of the football booster". All I'm hearing is garbage! I applaud your loyalty to Burton, I also agree that our kids should be worthy of a starting position! I know for a fact thats not true at Troy. Well footbalfan2 and others who applaud Burton action, you must be booster parents with your head up Burton behind. |

| hey Po Parent, since I'm not a female I can asure you that I'm not Mrs Burton. I am however a warrior parent and I KNOW for a fact that the SCHOOL DOES NOT ASK FOR MONEY TO PLAY FOOTBALL. We get a package in the mail before football season asking us to support the program. We can pay a requested flat fee but it is NOT MANDATORY. I know this because there have been a few years when I couldn't pay. So please do not start spreading rumors that are not true. I also know that there are several other families that weren't able to pay also and the coach DID NOT BENCH THEM. My son did play this year and last year and will most likely play next year as well so don't try to say if we don't pay our kids don't play. If they are good enough they will play. Go ahead and say what you want about Coach Burton and our AD and the rest of the coaching staff but most of the parents from this team know they are men of Character and class. They made an honest mistake, they apologized to the boys and the families already. You can make it out to be something more. If you are a parent of a troy player than you must be one of those bitter parents and your son didn't get the playing time YOU thought he deserved. |

| To footballfan2 you must be Mrs. Burton I apoligize for talking about your husband. The facts are that if you don't pay your "AMOUNT"! "Not a Donation"! Like you say, get your facts straight. As a Warrior fam, I would know. Pay or Sit the bench. Burton and school should be held accountable and give the parents a refund for the disgrace caused to the players and families. |

| Hey Highlander Dad,nice reply but a little off. Those bonds your talking about are earmarked specifically for buildings and infastruture upgrades not related to athletic facilities. Not that that is a bad thing but our schoolboard is in the dark ages about the role athletics play in a well rounded school and its community. Just look at what cutting edge school disticts and there advanced thinking schoolboard members are achieving in all the communities surrounding us. |

| Po Parent, for your information, Troy DOES NOT CHARGE to play football. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT. The BOOSTERS ask for a donatation from each family a certain amount in order to help the program and keep equipment updated and give the boys meals shirts homecoming jerseys etc. There is no reason that Burton should resign unlike another coach we all know. |

And as for the Fullerton is underestimated but La Habra is also seeking revenge for the Troy/Fullerton incident. So Look at both sides of the page. La Habra and Cal prediction. La Habra wins 38-17 |
