| La Habra's opponents 26-35? I'll do you one better. The combined record of University's opponents in their "perfect" season is 27-60! Parents, fans, players, and coaches need to stay level-headed about all of this. If you don't play anyone tough, don't expect recognition at the county level. Your only course of action is to keep winning through the playoffs. Good luck. It's nice to see a new face to all of this discussion, like Uni, but don't expect people to jump on your bandwagon until you've beaten a couple of good teams. |

| Oh Sorry SM also played Long Beach Poly who they lost to. I am just going to take a wild guess and say LH would prob lose to them to so there is your fourth lost. Who do you guys play again? Nobody play someone in the PAC 5 and see how you match up |

| I'll say it again, La Habra has a good team. You want credit, you have it, La Habra is ranked number 1 in the latest CIF Poll for the Southeast Division. The CIF is a poll taken from coaches and journalist's and means a hell of a lot more than this poll. The downside and the hardest part about the OC poll, is it has many divisions. That means that most of the top teams will come from the hardest division, the PAC 5. And even more so from the toughest league, Trinity. So the question is how do you prove to everyone that your team isn't just the best in it's division, but better than some in higher divisions? Play harder teams in the preseason. But, you may lose, and being able to say you were 10-0 feels a lot better than saying that you were 7-3, because most wont bother asking what the win, loss records were of the teams you beat. Also note that if you do play a team in a higher division, make sure it is a team with a winning record, or the only response that you will get is another yawn. Don't play a victim, you are a parent, talk to other parents, make your boosters aware that you want harder preseason games, make sure that the coach knows also. You want La Habra to be rated, you want the respect? Earn it! |

| It is pretty apparent as to what teams like La Habra and Uni need to do. Play Quality teams in the preseason. La Habra needs a game 5 according to the CIF website and so does San Clemente but I bet there is no way in hell that La Habra will even think of playing a PAC 5 team. In order to get respect, you gotta earn it and playing one big game such as Troy will not get the job done.
End of story |

| Some of the posts here are funnier than Steve's Rankings! La Habra fans, please tell me which team that SM lost to that you would win? Yeah, I couldn't think of one either. An 8 and 0 record sounds great until you look at the opponents records, I'll save you the time, 26 and 35. Since it is obvious that you guys own your league and will advance uncontested through it, talk to your head coach and make sure he knows that you want to play ranked teams in the preseason. It's not our fault that your head coach, boosters and parents are scared to pair La Habra against real competition. You have LA, OC, SD and SB counties to draw from and you are whining that south county is scared, get real. Some teams travel out of state to play competition, and others cry because they can't get a game 15 miles away. Poor La Habra, my heart bleeds for you. Not! You have a good team this year, but they haven't been tested. Playoffs are 2 weeks away, I guess we will see just how good they are, wont we? |

| SM should be OUT! Bite me listed three top schools in the division, but SM has FOUR losses. With four losses they don't deserve to be in the top ten. LH is undeafeated and deserves it. There is no denying a talented group of boys. South County should stop being scared and agree to play LH. |

| you guy are all a joke La Habra who do they play maybe should be ranked but santa margarita has to play mater dei orange lutheran and servite there is 3 losses to la habra right there if they played such caliber teams. There is way more competition its like the difference of the PAC 10 or SEC vs. the WAC. La Habra undefeated plays no one vs. Santa Margarita who plays all the good teams heads up I would take Santa Margarita |

| i agree Los Al should drop out of the top ten as well as SM. La Habra is ranked what they should be ranked 11th or 12. San Clemente or Tesor should be ranked in the top ten. |

| Looks like I wont be checking the oc varsity much the rest of the season or even next season. It seems as though the columnist are in love with one league only. There are other leagues you know and other teams like la habra you should maybe consider that they are a top ten team. A 4-4 team is ahead of them, how embarassing is choosing that reacord over an undefeated one. |

| This is a joke. You have a team at 4-4 ranked above La Habra which is undefeated? Why the lovefest for the bottom of the Trinity league. I realize that you think that they walk on water but give a good program a chance. Are we located too close to the LA-OC border for you?
In your other rankings you need to give Newport Harbor their props. They should be ranked ahead of Los Al for sure and probably ahead of 6-2-1 Mission Viejo. |

| I understand that teams with 1 loss can be ranked in the top 10. but comeon La Habra is the only undefeated team in the top 25. and they beat a good troy team that was ranked 10th a few weeks ago. and held one of the best RB Derrick Coleman undercontrol. take a good look at La Habra, there the real deal this year. Ronnie Hillman is one of the most explosive player out there! |

| Deejay, while I agree with you, none of the facts matter. Truth is, the Trinity and Sunset Leagues both OWN the OC Varsity writers. |

| Newport Harbor keeps getting ripped off every week by you. Los Al is not as good as a team as Newport. Harbor beat Los Al after not practicing for a week because of poor air quality. Los Al practiced that whole week. They are a better team than both Los Al and Mission Viejo and deserve to be ranked higher than both of those teams. Hopefully you will finally realize how good they are when they beat Edison on Thursday. If they win, they would be co-league champions but you'll probably still rank them below every one else in the league like you have them right now. THEY ARE TIED FOR FIRST IN THE SUNSET LEAGUE! HOW CAN YOU HAVE THEM 4TH DOWN THE LIST OF TEAMS IN THAT LEAGUE? |

| Why is Los Alamitos still ranked above Newport despite another loss?
Los Al beats Dana Hills 27 to 10. Newport beats Dana Hills 28 to 14
Los Al beats Fountain Valley 13 to 3. Newport beats Fountain Valley 27 to 7
Los Al loses to Esperanza 24 to 30. Newport loses to Esperanza 7 to 28
All very similar results that show that these teams are evenly matched except for the kicker. Newport beats Los Al 31 to 27.
Then why does the intelengencia keep ranking Los Al higher? Because they are stuck in their perceptions and not looking at the actual results. |
