High school football primer: new coaches

JSerra’s Jim Hartigan returns to the county after several years at Clovis West, near Fresno. He was Santa Margarita’s first coach and took the Eagles to a CIF-Southern Section championship. St. Margaret’s Harry Welch coached Canyon of Canyon Country to CIF-SS and CIF state championships in 2006, his 18th season with the Cowboys, before making the move south.Other new coaches:
Buena Park – Rob Ryan; Estancia – Mike Bargas; Huntington Beach – Eric Lo; Laguna Beach – Jonathan Todd; Liberty Christian – Deverick Lampley; Magnolia – Dave Perkins; Marina – Dan Petrone; Orange – Ralph Godfrey; Saddleback – Jim O’Connell; Sage Hill – Pete Anderson; Santa Ana – Scott Daniels; Sunny Hills – Marc Patino; Tesoro – Brian Barnes
