High school football primer: key transfers
OCVarsity.com
No transfer in the offseason generated more talk than Exavier Edwards. The sophomore running back left JSerra for Orange Lutheran. “I think he’s a heck of a football player,” Santa Margarita coach Mike Jacot said. The Lancers’ backfield is crowded with senior running backs Ricky Pemasa and Tyson Seneca, but Edwards (5-10, 180) will compete for playing time on offense and on kickoff returns. “Dynamic RB,” Coach Jim Kunau wrote of Edwards on the Lancers’ season survey.Other transfers:
Billy Henly, El Dorado, RB/LB: The 5-foot-10, 190-pound junior from Mater Dei was a lower-level star for the Monarchs; Nathan Castenada, Los Alamitos, RB/WR: The 5-9, 185-pound junior from Fairfax is a projected starter; Andrew Holmberg, Mission Viejo, OG: The 6-3, 280-pound projected starter played at Mission Viejo as a sophomore and in Arizona as a junior.

| Billy Henley's nickname on the Mater Dei sophomore team "OVERRATED". He wasn't a lower level star for the Monarchs, he was a constantly dinged sideline player. |
