North All-Star football nominees announced

Check out the players nominated for the Brea Lions Orange County North-South Prep All-Star Football Game.

Players from CIF-SS champions Cypress, El Dorado and La Habra are among the nominees for the Brea Lions Orange County North-South Prep All-Star Football Game in July.

The list of nominees includes El Dorado defensive lineman Anthony Laurenzi, The Register's 2007 Defensive Player of the Year. Laurenzi signed with Washington State.

Pac-5 Division semifinalists Orange Lutheran and Servite and quarterfinalist Esperanza also are represented in the nominees.

Coaches from each school were asked to nominate players.

The game will be played July 11 at Orange Coast College. The North roster is expected to be released in April. Canyon's Brent McKee will coach the North.
