The Freeway League’s three-way tie for second place will be settled by a playoff Friday at La Habra and one of the squads won’t be going to the playoffs.
Yes, with no at-large berths available, seasons will be on the line. Here’s the schedule:
Troy plays Sonora at 2:30 p.m. for the one playoff spot and the loser plays about an hour later against La Habra for another CIF spot.
I suspect the 2:30 p.m. game is for second place but will clarify later. Either way, an amazing week of water polo rolls on. The Sunset, Trinity and Freeway have featured league playoffs. Just imagine what CIF will be like at this pace.
