Mater Dei junior right guard Chris Murray (6-3, 290) has been offered by Cal, he announced on Twitter on Wednesday.
The Golden Bears, an increasingly stronger player in O.C. football recruiting, are the first school to offer the highly-regarded Murray.
Murray was selected first-team all-Trinity League this past season for the Monarchs, who claimed the league title and finished as the Division 1 runner-up to St. John Bosco.
Cal has landed commitments from class of 2017 recruits Chase Garbers of Corona del Mar, Mike Saffell of Edison and the Buena Park duo of Jeremiah Hawkins and Taariq Johnson.
